Family Photoshoot in Kings Cross with The Jennings

Having lived in Kings Cross (N1C) for several years, We’ve seen the rapid expansion of the area, and so when the Jenning’s were looking for a family photographer near Kings Cross, we thought it would be a great idea to pick up this project for family photography in Kings Cross.

Finding a location for a family photoshoot in Kings Cross

Kings Cross has a vast range of locations for the ideal photoshoot for a family. Granary Square and Coal Drop Yard is a beautifully renovated area of Kings Cross, which has a very chic and modern feel to it as a part of the Kings Cross Central Development Scheme. Kings Cross has fast become a hotspot for dining, art and culture. And as a young couple with a toddler, we thought this would be a perfect place for the Jennings to do their photoshoot.

We grabbed a cup of coffee with the Jennings and baked under the sun on the Granary Square steps, which sits adjacent to the Regents Canals. Here we got a chance to get to know the family better and run through our process of photography. We believe in creating a genuine moment that will bring back a lot of nostalgia in the future.

And just by the Canal, we started our shoot, where we allowed the Jennings some room to have their picnic on the Granary Square steps, allowing us to capture a very authentic and intimate moment between the family.

We then proceeded towards the Canal, where we got the perfect walking shot with the family hand in hand. We got to show off our camera capability using a burst shoot, which allowed us to capture stunning pictures whilst the family were in motion.

For our final photoshoot, we went to the brick-laden Coal Drop Yard complex. This location provided a very sleek and modern backdrop and was perfect for what the Jennings were planning for. We allowed them to roam free, whilst we captured them being amazed by the developments of the complex.

After we ended our final shoot, we had a final discussion with Jennings, who was “thoroughly pleased” with the photo shoot and were also glad that we were very “engaging” with the family, not to mention the images came out spectacular in their new shiny album we got them!
